The service is provided by counsellors who are attending well established counselling courses.
All counsellors working in the service have been approved to practice by both a trainer and a BACP and NCPS accredited counselling supervisors.
Our counsellors receive on-going professional supervision which ensures the quality of the counselling is to a high professional standard.
Low-Cost Counselling Service is being managed by Tina Free, who has over 30 years’ experience of offering counselling services to clients and supervision support to working counsellors. Tina is also an experienced manager and teacher. Several of our counsellors and the agency supervisor are members of BACP.
We follow the BACP guidelines and work to their ethical framework. We have public liability and professional indemnity insurance. We are happy to answer any questions you have about the service, please contact us on:

I’m an experienced counsellor and supervisor, working for over 20 years. Enjoying supporting counsellors with their work and helping counsellors to offer the best service for their clients.
I offer Time to Talk sessions for qualified counsellors and counselling supervisors. Not counselling or supervision but Time to Talk. This space is available when something has come into your life which might be interrupting your focus from your client work, or is distressing in your life.
As part of my work I develop and offer personal and professional development workshops for counsellors and counselling supervisors.
I am excited to be managing Low Cost Counselling which is an innovative project aimed at offering affordable counselling.
In the past I have worked at City of Bristol College, teaching on the Therapeutic Diploma in Counselling and I worked for 10 years for the Dementia Care Trust developing and delivering a counselling service to families were someone in the family had a dementia.
I have a large extended family which I enjoy very much and give lots of time to.
